Celebrating Scott Neil Slatas
February 16th, 1954 - August 26th, 2025
Memorial
Scott Neil Slatas passed away suddenly and far too soon on Tuesday, August 26 2025.
Scott was born on February 16th, 1954 and grew up in Rahway, NJ before he traveled across the country with his future wife creating memories that are still held dear today. Scott and Nancy put down roots in Princeton Jct, NJ in 1987 where they raised three wonderful children. Scott was a very active father that coached baseball, softball and was involved with the boy scouts. Scott’s career began on Ferry Street in Newark working at his father’s store and later progressed into a Regional Sales Field Manager at Worldpac where he spent nearly 24 years. Scott retired in April of this year and was making the most of his life of leisure and learning how to sit still. Scott will always be remembered as a kid at heart, lover of the outdoors from body surfing on the jersey shore to hiking and kayaking.
Scott is survived by his loving wife Nancy, his kindah Ian, Gwen, Laura and her husband Matt along with seven grandchildren that he adored more than anything; James, Eliana, Emerson, Finnlay, Cole, Abigail and Everly. Scott is also survived by his two brothers, Steven and wife Carolyn and Brent and wife Denise along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and lifetime friends. Scott is predeceased by his father, Frank (2006) and his mother, Ann (2023).
We’ll celebrate Scott by keeping those we love close, breathing the open air, and saying yes to the next wave.
